REDONDO BEACH, Calif. (June 16, 2015) — Innovator Stephan Papadakis knows how to make powerful cars. In this new video, beautifully shot and directed by DC Chavez, watch Papadakis assemble the 1,000 horsepower motor for the Rockstar Energy Drink / Hankook Tire Scion tC — compressed into two engaging minutes.

ABOUT PAPADAKIS RACING: Team owner Papadakis cut his teeth in drag racing, setting records with elapsed times and trap speeds previously thought unattainable in front-drive drag cars in the 1990s before switching to rear-wheel drive and creating a Honda Civic that became only the fifth car to join the NHRA’s Sport Compact 200 MPH club.

He began drifting in 2005 and has since created some of the more recognizable builds in the sport, including the current 2015 Rockstar Energy Drink / Hankook Tire Scion tC driven by Fredric Aasbo. The team has won two Formula Drift championship titles (2007, 2008) and was runner-up in the 2014 and 2010 championship seasons.
