Fredric Aasbo is in a close points battle at the front of the Formula Drift standings after a challenging weekend in New Jersey. Despite qualifying first and second, neither of the Papadakis Racing Toyota drivers were able to convert their success to a podium as Aasbo faced a rare Round of 32 elimination and teammate Ryan Tuerck scored fifth.

Rockstar Energy Toyota GR Supra driver Fredric Aasbo moved into second in the Formula Drift championship points this weekend at Road Atlanta, despite a close decision that left him sidelined after the Top 16.

 The Papadakis Racing Toyotas put on a strong season opening performance in Long Beach this weekend, with defending champ Fredric Aasbo scoring third place in the Rockstar Energy Drink Toyota GR Supra and teammate Ryan Tuerck achieving a top qualifying result in the Rain-X / Nitto Tire Toyota GR Corolla.

Three-time defending Formula Drift champion Fredric Aasbo and title contender Ryan Tuerck return to competition with Papadakis Racing this weekend at the season opening Streets of Long Beach. Aasbo will return to the series in the winning Rockstar Energy Toyota GR Supra, while Tuerck is back in the Rain-X / Nitto Tire Toyota GR Corolla.
