LONG BEACH, California (March 30, 2021) -- Defending Formula Drift champion Fredric Aasbo returns to competition with Papadakis Racing this weekend at the season opening Streets of Long Beach. He will drive the Rockstar Energy Toyota GR Supra alongside teammate Ryan Tuerck, who debuts an exciting new Rain-X partnership that is under wraps behind the car’s dazzle camouflage until its official debut in competition on Friday.

Fredric Aasbo won the 2021 Formula Drift championship on Saturday, taking second place at the Irwindale Speedway season finale in the Rockstar Energy Toyota GR Supra to clinch the title. The result also locked in the Manufacturer’s title for Papadakis Racing partner Toyota, while partner Nitto Tire won the Tire Cup crown.

The result also vaults Toyota to the top of the Auto Cup standings, while partner Nitto Tire extends its lead in the Tire Cup rankings.

ST. LOUIS, Missouri (August 30, 2021) – Rockstar Energy Toyota driver Fredric Aasbo scored victory in St. Louis after an all-Toyota, all-Nitto Tire Final battle with teammate Ryan Tuerck. The one-two finish narrows the points standings as the Formula Drift series returns to California for the final two rounds of the season. Their one-two result was a repeat of last year’s St. Louis performance -- a mighty debut in their debut outing as teammates.

Ryan Tuerck drove his Gumout / Nitto Tire / Mobil 1 Toyota Corolla to second place in a wild Seattle event this weekend that saw sold-out grandstands and hard charging on-track action. “We found a great rhythm here in Seattle,” said Tuerck. “The feeling of riding the bank in full drift on this track is amazing and the fan excitement kept us pumped all day long.”
